Winston, the Old English Sheepdog

Judy called me about her Old English Sheepdog, Winston. At three years old, he was just starting his career as a show dog. Winston possessed the talent, confirmation, and enthusiasm for showing. The Westminster Dog Show was in his sights.   

However, at age two, Winston had begun showing symptoms that left him lethargic. He had a high respiration rate and his thyroid was low. He was physically not able to show, let alone run around in his backyard.

Winston had been to various vets—both traditional and holistic—and had consults with a nutritionist. He had also been examined at a major animal hospital, yet no one could offer a definitive diagnosis. No treatment and medication seemed to alleviate Winston’s symptoms.

Judy had begun to believe his illness was due to vaccines. Holistic vets call this vaccinosis, however it’s not considered a condition in the traditional veterinary world. I agreed with her, and began working with Winston several days a week, using different protocols of energy clearing and healing. 

Within four weeks, Winston’s respiration rate returned to normal, and he was able to run and play vigorously with the neighbor’s dog for more than 30 minutes!  

His recovery was due to energy clearing and healing. His thyroid medicine was recently cut in third. This is the only medication he is on, and I am continuing to work with him energetically with the intention that his thyroid will return to normal. 

Winston had his first show this summer, and placed well in show. He is in the process of learning better manners and the hope is that he will be shown at Westminster this year.

Update, November 2019: Winston has earned 10 of 25 points needed to become a grand champion!
